Our Probate Services
1. Full Estate Administration
Our full administration service provides complete support from start to finish. We handle all legal, financial and administrative tasks on your behalf, including:
- Reviewing the Will and advising on its terms
- Identifying and valuing all assets and liabilities
- Preparing the required HMRC forms
- Applying for the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration
- Collecting in assets and settling debts
- Distributing the estate to beneficiaries
- Preparing final estate accounts
This option is ideal if you prefer professional support throughout the entire process or where the estate is complex.
2. Grant‑Only Service
If you are comfortable administering the estate yourself but need help obtaining the legal authority to do so, we can prepare and submit the application for:
- Grant of Probate (where there is a Will), or
- Letters of Administration (where there is no Will)
We ensure all legal requirements are met and submit the application to the Probate Registry. Once the Grant is issued, you can continue managing the estate yourself.
Price Transparency and SRA Compliance
We are committed to providing clear, transparent and upfront pricing for all probate work. Our fees are published in accordance with the SRA Price Transparency Rules, and further details can be found on the Price Transparency page of our website. During your free initial appointment, we will explain the likely costs, timescales and any third‑party fees so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.
Non‑Contentious Probate Only
We are able to assist with non‑contentious probate matters only. Unfortunately, we do not deal with contentious probate or disputes between beneficiaries or executors.
